TagVision and mk Solutions have had a close collaboration over the last two years. This partnership has evolved so positively that a merge would provide an added value to the library market and our customers. January 2015, mk Solutions acquired all shares of TagVision. This acquisition will strengthen the companies’ presence in Denmark and in the other Nordic countries.

TagVision has been the innovative company in Denmark, which has always been at the forefront of development. Among other things TagVision with Ole Sundø as the owner and manager, was the first company in Denmark, in close cooperation with Silkeborg Library, 15 years ago, spearheaded the development of the first chip system to replace barcodes. Ole Sundø, Managing Director says: “After working with mk Solutions on various past projects, it was obvious that I wanted to partner with them in some way. mk Solutions and TagVision had the same vision, business ethics, leadership mentality, and drive to be the front-runner at developing and delivering innovative solutions to customers. Our commitment to making the best products with some of the most elite engineers in the world seemed to be the perfect match. Partnering with mk Solutions will allow us to achieve manufacturing excellence, to be a leader in the industry with
customer satisfaction, and superior performance.”

mk Solutions provides high quality library self-checks, RFID implementation, EM Security, book dispensing solutions and Automated Materials Handling systems. mk Solutions descended from mk Technology Group, which has been providing high level technical equipment for over 40 years. This experience has provided a strong foundation from which we build technical solutions for library systems. All systems are designed with the goal of interoperability between vendors. The equipment and software are designed to meet ISO and other published standards and have no proprietary features, giving libraries the confidence that their new systems will be long lasting and compatible with existing systems.

In addition, mk Solutions has led the development in library automation which among other
efficient solutions include the development of the unique product mk LibDispenser® , which is a
fully automated mini library. The workstations and automated material handling systems required by libraries are similar to other installations in the manufacturing industry. mk’s designs incorporate decades of experience, while drawing on new technologies to provide innovative solutions unlike any other on the market.

Markus Flory, Managing Director says: “This merger allows mk Solutions to be more competitive in the marketplace. Joining TagVision, a leader in the industry, seemed to be a perfect allegiance. I believe this partnership will not only grow our library business, but enhance our technology and we can continue to be a global wide leader in the library automation industry. With this merger, I am confident that we will be the most recognized library solutions leader in the Scandinavian market and beyond.”

At mk Solutions, we pride ourselves on developing personal relationships with our customers. As our company has grown, we have maintained our ability to provide the personal service and high level of customized products our libraries require. TagVisions employees, together with Ole Sundø remain unchanged in the new constellation. Likewise, the company name will remain TagVision ApS, based in Allerød.

It is our belief that the merge will strengthen our position and provide access to new sales channels. The combination of TagVision and mk Solutions will ensure continued highly innovative solutions and great customer service to the benefit our current as well as our new customers.
