Bundoora, VIC – CAVAL is pleased to announce the official representation of mk Sorting Systems in the Australian and New Zealand library market.

This partnership provides CAVAL members with the option to add a fully customized RFID solution to their library. mk Sorting Systems provides high quality library RFID solutions and manufactures patron self-service, sorting, dispensing and circulation workflow automation systems for libraries. mk has a history of providing installations in Europe and in North America.

One of mk’s newest products is the mk LibDispenserTM which provides year around 24 hour access for library patrons to renew, return, reserve and retrieve items outside their local library branch. The dispenser has a capacity of 876 library books, CD’s or DVD’s with the future option to easily expand the system. This stand alone branch is a fully automated service solution that uses the library’s management software (ILS) via SIP2 or NCIP communication.

“Members of CAVAL are always looking for the best ways to reach their patrons,” said Janette Wright, Chief Executive at CAVAL. “The mk LibDispenserTM can help local libraries reach a much wider audience than is currently feasible, without additional staff.”

“CAVAL is very well known with libraries in Australia and New Zealand”, said Markus Flory, president of mk Sorting Systems. “CAVAL offers several services for libraries and they are very familiar with the needs and workflows of their clients. For mk Sorting Systems it is important to provide libraries professional products and services to meet their requirements and therefore we are happy to have a partnership with Caval.”
